The integrity of the Government suffered another serious blow over the star ferry pier issue. A consultant's report stating the historical and cultural value of the pier was deliberately hidden from the public.
What the hell is wrong with our Government !!!!
At the moment there are people protesting at the construction site of the pier, including some legislators. However, I have no hope of saving the tower as our Government seldom listen to people's voices. Good luck to them......
I must also admit that many people supported the decision to tear it down as it is a symbol of the old colonial regime. Well......I wonder......it seems to me that many Asians have a tendency to erase traces of history (especial those ungraceful ones). See the Japanese...our so-called mother country....and now adds to the list, the Hong Kong-ese......
